In the professional landscape, a startling discrepancy exists with women being significantly underrepresented in leadership roles. This gap has a ripple effect, manifesting in a dearth of mentorship, networking, and community-building opportunities, thus hampering the growth trajectory of many women.

In the professional landscape, a startling discrepancy exists with women being significantly underrepresented in leadership roles. This gap has a ripple effect, manifesting in a dearth of mentorship, networking, and community-building opportunities, thus hampering the growth trajectory of many women.

Objective

To address this, we embarked on a mission to design and create a platform tailored to the unique needs of professional women, specifically those between the ages of 30 and 55. The aim was to foster connections, learning, and community-building in an environment that championed their aspirations.

Research Findings

Through comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews:

• A significant underrepresentation of women in leadership roles was validated.
• A discernible preference emerged for a nuanced support approach; 80% of participants preferred initiating their problem-solving journey by asking questions and self-research before turning to experts.
  
• The importance of peer-to-peer advice and community support was highlighted, with one-on-one expert guidance as a subsequent step.

Solution Design

Based on these findings, the platform "EXPERTA" was conceptualized and refined:

• A 'Questions' feature was prominently displayed, allowing users to seek peer advice or expert input seamlessly.
• The design emphasized a minimalist approach, enhancing usability while fostering community interaction.
  
• Features were tailored to maximize efficiency for the target audience, considering their multiple roles and time constraints.

Outcomes

Upon presenting the platform:

• 100% of participants expressed enthusiasm and confidence in the app's potential.
• 80% believed that the expert access provided would significantly benefit their professional journeys.
• Networking and building connections with skilled women emerged as a universal aspiration.

Conclusion

"EXPERTA" isn't merely an app; it's a movement aimed at addressing the gender gap in professional settings. It champions a community-driven approach, positioning women at the helm of their professional destinies. This project underscores the importance of user-centric design, emphasizing that even when designers begin with a robust understanding, the evolving user experience must remain at the forefront. The end product, as shaped by invaluable user input, stands testament to the power of empathetic design, ready to enact real change in the professional landscape for women.
